We lost a great scientist and a kind and warm hearted colleague. Andrew was so kind to act as the co supervisor of my Ph.D. Thesis despite the fact that I was in Germany. I deeply appreciated his depth of knowledge, his kindness, his enthusiasm and his imagination. He was truly inspiring! I took a life long love for MCD spectroscopy with me from Norwich and a never fading admiration for Andrew as a scientist and a person.
