So many of Andrew's former students and colleagues have already attested here to his brilliance as a scientist, teacher and mentor. I will remember Andrew as someone who had a near inexhaustible openness to having his views challenged by others, including by the most junior of colleagues and students. It was a quality crucial to his professional success, and instilled enormous loyalty and respect from those that knew him.
