Andrew was a true scientific giant. His profound scientific knowledge and insightful original thinking served an inspiration to several generations of researchers across different fields, at UEA and beyond. He was a wonderful person and a kind and caring mentor, supporter and friend to many, including me. I will dearly miss him.
